Our riding counselors, each with past teaching and riding experience, provide instruction in all beginning, intermediate and advanced equitation skills – from walk-trot exercises to advanced competitive jumping. Instructors are also responsible for the care, feeding/watering and cleaning out of stalls. Every camper involved in the riding program also receives a light horse management course in addition to her 20 hours (1/2 season campers have 10 hours) of in-saddle instruction. This course covers horse anatomy, care of horses and equipment, stable management and basic veterinary diagnostic and medical skills.
