Camp Kanuga, a traditional Episcopal summer camp for boys and girls, seeks an Adventure Facilitator. He/she, along with Kanuga's full-time Adventure Coordinator, supervises the camp's adventure staff and high adventure/challenge facilities. Strong safety awareness, knowledge of safety techniques and enthusiasm for the outdoors is required. Must have documented training with the facilitation, management and leadership of high adventure and low ropes course elements and activities.
This person also serves as coordinator for a hiking appreciation program for older campers called Ridge Runners. He/she will teach Leave-no-trace philosophy, hiking techniques, advanced outdoor living skills, etc.
Medical training beyond basic first-aid and CPR certifications will be required (WFA, WFR). Preferrable age is 21.
